It's EASY!
In June two of us attended Congressman Mike Pompeo's town hall meeting in Park City and we would have to describe the experience as surprisingly positive and incredibly empowering.
Rep Pompeo's staff welcomed us and allowed us to stand in the foyer as people were arriving and hand out KMC Network fliers. (Next time, we will arrive early enough to catch more attendees.) My friend asked his question about medical marijuana and Rep Pompeo's response "incited" me to get in line and rebut his lame, run-of-the-mill response to my friend's question. Between the two of us, we were able to get in a couple of good, information-packed 'sound bytes.'
After the meeting several people asked us more about MC, and thanked us for coming. We were pleasantly surprised when Rep Pompeo's staffers told us that for the past few weeks medical cannabis has been a frequent topic in messages to the congressman, and they all invited us to attend more of these meetings.
That experience has inspired the creation of this page. If we all get out and do this, and urge our families and friends to join us, we can make a powerful impact, and do it "on the cheap"---always an important consideration when your operation is self-funded.
Mainstream media likes to report on our issue, so this is virtually free advertising---directly to our 'targeted markets.' Come on, people, let's get involved and change Kansas law for all the people it will help. No one else is going to do this for us, but together WE can get it done! |
There is no better opportunity to reach lawmakers and voters alike than in Town Hall meetings, Candidate Forums and other public meetings. Here are some upcoming opportunities to be HEARD:

Insane Fact:
Believe it or not, according to the way it is "scheduled" by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), our federal government considers cannabis/marijuana to be as dangerous as heroin, and more harmful than methamphetamine! (more info here) It is still the US government's contention that cannabis has no medicinal value, regardless of mountains of evidence to the contrary. Until very recently, no research on cannabis could be undertaken in the US, but tens of thousands of studies conducted in other developed nations have left little room for doubt that cannabis does indeed have therapeutic properties useful against a wide and expanding range of medical conditions. This is why it has never been more important that we work with our representatives in Washington to get this useful, benign plant rescheduled so that patients everywhere might have a chance at a better quality of life.
